Last year, Irene had shown up in red and tried to call it a day, and had been thoroughly told that that was
not enough

So this year was
different
.
It was not her usual taste, no, but in sleek dark jeans and with her hair down, she at least thought she looked...nice, if also somehow
outrageously
awful.
