MCA #9 | Sunday Morning
So, given that yesterday had been...frustrating for Annie (she still felt pretty bad about Danny's desk drawer) and disturbingly relaxing for Diego, it was honestly kind of a miracle that they'd even ended up in the same apartment -- let alone the same bed -- at the end of the day. Annie's afternoon with a punching bag had helped a bit, but she'd still gone to bed in as bad a mood as she'd started the day.
Today, however? Different story. Different story entirely.
When Annie sleepily blinked awake this morning, it was with an immediate sense of pure contentment. Things were wonderful. Especially here, in this bed, with her absolute favorite person on this or any other version of Earth!
And, really, how could Annie be expected to resist cuddling up to him? So she wasn't going to resist, instead stretching with a happy sigh to drape an arm around Diego and nestling herself closer to him. "Good morning."
She was just so overwhelmingly happy.
[for the guy! ETA: gonna go ahead and slap an NWS on this right now, yep.]

He cuddled closer to Annie, putting his arm over hers. He was happy they seemed to be on the same page today. Of course he'd be happy about anything today. "Morning. Feeling better today?"

"I love you too," he murmured before kissing her again. "Like, a whole lot."

It helped that she felt that way on pretty much any normal given day, too, even if she didn't always say so.

Ugh they were disgusting.

Not that it had seemed to bother him at the time, but Annie still felt like she should try to make it up to him.

Were they going to break some "I love you" record today? Maybe.
no subject
They were going to end up making a squirrel sick or something, at this rate.

"How am I supposed to top something like that?" he joked, kissing her neck. "You're better at words than I am."

Lots and lots of practice.

Just all of the compliments today.

"You're also, like, unfairly hot," she added, wrapping her leg around him a little more snug.
Now, that she did tell him pretty often. But it was, like, extra-true today

The hottest one. Fight her, it was true.

But she absolutely noticed it on him, and reached out to lightly rub her thumb alongside the crystal. She wasn't concerned at all, of course -- more just mildly curious whether her incredibly hot boyfriend had gotten into body jewelry out of nowhere. (She would, of course, support this endeavor if he had!)

"It's kind of sexy." Also not a shock. "It doesn't hurt, does it?"

"We don't have to go anywhere today, right?" she checked, nuzzling his shoulder. If they did, she would be more than happy to go do whatever was necessary to cancel those plans, no problem.

Because, really, it wasn't like they typically restricted themselves to just the bedroom anyway.
no subject
No kidding, Diego.
