Okay, that had actually been really, really fun. It had been a long week, and she'd been pretty sick of it all by the end, but it wasn't every day you got to fight a bunch of bears - let alone a giant bear - and save the day. Even if she also still felt fairly guilty about being temporarily mind-controlled by a reindeer into fighting one of her best friends.
This week. Seriously.
Starlight was pretty ready to be boring old non-sparkly Annie for awhile, even if she hadn't dispensed with the cape and the skirt just yet. Between adrenaline from the fight and relief that they'd won (and that it had been so fun!), Annie had been basically walking on air the entire way back to her apartment. Well, walking on air while also fussing over Diego.
"You're sure you're okay?" she asked, critically looking him over again. For those playing at home - yes, Annie was the one who'd fought a Jedi in addition to the bears (and...everything) a little while ago, and Annie showed absolutely no sign of damage save for a rip in her tights. The luxury of being that tough was that you got to make a big deal over every tiny papercut that your boyfriend got, okay. "Should I get out my first aid kit?"
[for that guy! edit: this has wholly unsurprisingly veered non-work safe, omg.]

Annie was pretty sure she might die or something if she tried to stand up just yet, considering she was literally trembling (holy shit), but she did collect herself enough to kiss him softly before resting her forehead against Diego's so they could both catch their breath.

After a few moments he was bumping his nose against hers in a cute way that totally was the opposite vibe of what they just did. "Please tell me we're doing that every time after this island makes us fight something weird."

Because she really didn't want to wait until the next time they fought something weird to do that again.

She was getting to where she didn't feel that bad about it. But she still felt a little bad. This was one of the drawbacks of dating normal-to-her guys - though, admittedly, she hadn't really run into, 'I came so hard I made little fingerprint-shaped bruises all over your back,' problems before, so...in light of that, she was pretty sure it was okay.

He hadn't forgotten her saying she had to hold back parts of herself with other guys.

Seriously. She was getting more comfortable with him every day, and hearing him say that gave her a sweet little flutter in her chest, because...yeah. Hearing that reassurance was almost better than the sex itself.
(Almost.)
