Somewhere in Australia, Apparently | Saturday Morning

So, yesterday had been kind of a disaster, and really, Annie was still kicking herself for not seeing that coming. It wasn't her fault, exactly -- she'd moved past that line of thought -- but she absolutely had gotten caught up in the idea of planning and throwing this birthday party without really considering what Diego (and Five, but Diego was her bigger concern right now) actually would want.

Which was why they were now waking up to 600 acres of privacy. Annie had called in every favor she had, thrown her name around way more than she liked to do, and spent more money than she wanted to think about in the wake of the cakes hitting the ground. And while her assistant had promised her that what she'd secured for them (even on such late notice) was awesome, and they'd obviously had to trek up here last night before collapsing into bed, Annie was still kind of amazed once she woke up enough to look out the windows.

"Wow," she breathed as she sat up to look at the view, trying not to wake Diego yet -- they needed to talk about yesterday, still, but she also wasn't gonna deny the guy his sleep. Not after last night.

And the view would be here. Along with what looked like miles and miles and miles of quiet.

Annie wriggled her pants off and stepped out of them, holding her arms up so her shirt could come off.

And since there had to be a brief kissing pause, it meant Annie could tease. "You sure are eager to get into this bath."

Ignore how throaty her voice had gotten. And also how eager she clearly, obviously was.

He smiled as he tossed her shirt aside. "Well it's a big bathtub."

Totally explained the eagerness, for sure.

"And it has jets," Annie told him, widening her eyes as though that was, obviously, why she was eager, too.

Nothing to do with the appreciative once-over she was giving him as she moved over to carefully get into the tub, trailing a hand down Diego's arm lest he have any ideas about not following her.

Because that seemed likely, sure.

Better safe than sorry!

But it was unnecessary, considering he was following right after her. "Jets and bubbles? Might just spend the day in here."

"You're not worried about us getting all wrinkly?" Annie wondered, letting out a happy sigh as she slid into the tub.

Belatedly, she realized she should have put her hair up, but she also had a feeling it probably wasn't really going to matter, anyway.

"I'm not worried if you're not worried," he said, sliding into the tub next to her. "If you're offended by it I can get out."

"Don't you dare," Annie replied, already pressing herself into his side and leaning in for a kiss now that he was back in range. "I bet you'd be hot all pruney, anyway."

Fucking ridiculous.

Diego didn't know about that, but he was willing to accept the compliment. He wasn't about to give up kissing to say anything, anyway.

This was already enough to make him wish they had a bigger bathtub at the apartment.

It was pretty cool how much room they had in here. Enough that Annie wasn't content to just nestle herself against his side, and was already sliding her legs out against Diego's, just enjoying both the touching and the fun of being slippery.

One of her arms wound its way up around his neck as she kissed him, slow and sweet in a way that probably wasn't really going to last all that long.

It was nice, being in the warm water with the bubbles and everything. Diego wrapped one of his arms around Annie's waist, sliding his hand along her skin. "This was a great idea."

"The tub? Getting away from Fandom? You having a birthday?" Annie prompted between kisses, smiling. "Yes to all of the above."

She skimmed a hand down his chest, just keeping her touch light and exploratory and affectionate for now.

"Mostly the first one," he murmured. "And the bubbles. I'm a big fan of the bubbles."

"You look cute in bubbles," Annie decided, spotting a button off to the side of the tub and gesturing to it. "If you push that, we'll have jets, too."

Annie would have been more than happy to push the button herself, but she was now very busy kissing Diego's neck, you see.

The neck kissing really wasn't helping Diego's focus, but he had enough to lean over and press the button.

"Now we have the full experience," Diego joked, tilting his head back a little to encourage more of the neck kissing.

"Almost," Annie murmured next to his ear, pressing a kiss behind it before dipping her head to bite at his neck, her fingertips threading lightly up into his hair.

"Yeah?" Diego asked, lazily sliding his hand along Annie's waist and hip. "What's the full experience?"

"I think we'll know it when we see it," Annie replied vaguely, smiling against his neck and floating her legs across Diego's lap. The buoyancy was kind of fun, she was discovering. "But this is really nice. Relaxing."

Probably even more relaxing if you weren't unfailingly attracted to your naked boyfriend and able to keep your hands off him, but relaxing nonetheless.

Diego ducked his head down for another kiss, sliding his hand over to one of Annie's legs. You know, just in case she had any ideas about moving them.

If they took two seconds to stop touching each other they'd probably also appreciate the view. Not likely to happen, however.

And the privacy. Annie wasn't exactly in the habit of stripping in front of a lot of windows, but there was literally no one around to see them.

But maybe they'd notice -- and appreciate -- all of that eventually. Right now, Annie was wholly preoccupied with arching up to kiss Diego with a soft sigh, her splayed hand resting lightly against his chest.

It was nice knowing they were the only people around for six hundred acres. Diego was a city kid, it was possible this is the most space he had to himself in his entire life.

"You know what I think will help with the full experience?" Diego murmured before pressing a kiss against Annie's neck. "You in my lap."

And meanwhile, this all kind of got at the heart of what Annie missed about Iowa. Except it was better, because they were secluded by rainforests instead of cornfields.

"You're so smart," Annie replied, and thanks to that lovely buoyancy, she was able to just maneuver right into his lap with a gentle push off the side of the tub. And now it was that much easier to wind both arms up around Diego's neck and press her chest to his as she kissed him. And maybe the jets would come in handy and cover up the eager little noise she made into the kiss? Maybe?

As close as they were, Diego definitely heard it, but was so distracted by the kiss and the slick skin pressed against him that he didn't really think to tease her at the moment. The noise only made him more desperate, and spurred him on to slip a hand between them to cup her breast.

Annie moaned softly in response, this time without a hope of the jets even remotely covering the sound, but she also was a little past caring. (Another nice thing about all the privacy: no one else to potentially hear them, either.) She arched against his hand, more than a little desperate herself, and one of her hands found its way up into Diego's hair to give an encouraging little tug as she nipped lightly at his lower lip.

Being able to pull on Diego's hair even more during sex remained, in Annie's opinion, the best motivation possible for him to grow it out longer.

The hair pulling got a louder moan out of Diego, something he tried to muffle by nipping at Annie's lip lightly. He really needed to consider the long hair thing eventually.

Since he couldn't be the only one making loud noise, he circled his thumb around her nipple, trying even things out and generally enjoying how slick the water made everything feel.

The slickness was fun. It wasn't like they hadn't done this without being all wet before -- they were, like, experts in the shower, after all. But this was different, with the bubbles and the jets and the floatiness.

He was rewarded with a louder noise, of course, because how could Annie not. It just prompted her to shift a little needily in his lap and bring her hands down to his shoulders, both as a means leverage herself against him a bit better and to dig her nails in against his skin just to emphasize how much she liked that. "Do that again."
