MHA #2 | Tuesday Morning
For those of you playing at home: no, Annie had not yet found her engagement ring.
To be fair to her, she had found nine of the decoy boxes by now, which she thought was pretty damn impressive, thank you. She had them neatly lined up in the guest room, next to the previously well-organized white board that now boasted an increasingly untidy list of the found decoys' locations and of crossed-out rooms she'd searched. Organizing her thoughts had been a good idea, but as the search had worn on, Annie's patience with keeping things neat had frayed a bit.
That was also true in a more literal sense, as their apartment was a disaster by now. She'd pulled bookshelves out from walls, and books off of those shelves. Half of her and Diego's drawers were pulled out of their dressers and counters and sitting on the floor. She'd emptied the bathroom's medicine cabinet and left everything from her backup bottles of conditioner to the first aid kit sitting out, just so she didn't mistakenly retrace her steps.
It didn't help that she'd had pause her search to work yesterday for Memorial Day -- though on the bright side, she'd managed to confer with Maeve (read: whisper frantically at Maeve while they both made wistful faces next to various monuments in DC), and that had led to some untapped ground at her teammate's suggestion.
"Oh my God, I see a box!" Annie yelled from on top of a stepladder in their bedroom, shining an illuminated hand into an air vent. Nine decoys in, and you'd think the excitement would have worn off. And it had a little, in the sense that Annie didn't feel like she might faint every time she found one, at least. (The minute she found a box that made a noise when she shook it, though? Different story.)

She didn't need verbal encouragement to pull harder on his hair, welcome though it was, but Annie did unconsciously check her strength as she gave a sharper tug. This time, she was sort of bossy about it, using her hand in his hair to try to drive his face a little more against her.
Hopefully that wasn't too much bossiness? (Was there such a thing?) She was absolutely not remotely worried about it at the moment, clearly.

He moved one of his hands from Annie's thigh to press a finger into her as well, because he was excellent when it came to non-verbal communication, thank you.

"Fuck." Oh, right, that was why she normally didn't watch, because it was hot and so intimate and she could feel heat climbing up her chest and into her face and she also did not care, because it didn't even begin to compete with the heat between her legs. But that was why the hand that had previously been tracing little patterns against her own throat was now covering her face. "I love you so much. So, so much."

He pulled a little against Annie's hold, trying to encourage a harder touch.

Annie let out a desperate, whimpering sort of sound as one foot slipped along the sheets, mostly in an effort to dispel some of this tension so she didn't rock her hips up into Diego's face and actually hurt him. But she could take a cue with the best of them, even when she could already feel herself building towards a total lack of control, and that hand in his hair tightened firmly in counter to the way he'd pulled against her hold. "Like that?" she managed to breathe, just before giving an experimentally sharp yank to encourage him a bit more.

He bit at Annie's thigh again, nuzzling his beard against for a moment before going right back to what he was doing. Her reactions were driving him just a little bit crazy, and all it was doing was encourage him to give her more.

And now she was using that bossy hair action to try to pull him up towards her, a bit. She would be willing to hear arguments if he really wanted to keep going, but she also was kind of desperate and on the verge and needed him, too.

The covering-her-face thing came mostly out of shyness, yes, but there was also a very real possibility that she would just lose it immediately if she watched him too closely. Between the stimulation and the visuals, it was -- fuck.
She was more than a little desperate at this point, and thus as soon as she could, she wound her other hand up into Diego's hair and leaned up to kiss him needily.

She deepened the kiss, arching her back a little just to be that much closer to him, that much more pressed together.

So much she thought she might marry him, actually.

He slid his free hand between them, lining himself up against her. Figuring they both had waited long enough and it had already been established he was good at reading non-verbal cues, he wasted no time arching his hips to press into her.

Both the physical sensation, which was both a lot and exactly what she needed, and the emotional high that was hitting her harder than ever at the moment.
no subject
"Fuck," he murmured. "You feel amazing."
no subject
Breathe and turn her head to press a kiss to the side of his head. She would need to move soon -- she'd actually broken out in goosebumps, probably due equally to sensation and anticipation -- but she was more than happy to take it slow.
You only got to have we-just-got-engaged sex once, right? (Well. Ideally, anyway.)

Luckily Diego didn't need too long to pull himself together. Soon he was leaning up to kiss Annie again, at the same time he started moving his hips, letting the pace build up slowly.
no subject
Annie arched up into the kiss, rolling her hips up to meet Diego's and following his slow pace. It was easier to focus on kissing him right now rather than how fucking amazing this felt -- especially given all that buildup, and all these feelings, and how Annie caught sight of her ring as she slid her hand to Diego's shoulder and just seeing it sent a tingle through her. That was all a lot -- like, an overwhelming, if-she-focused-too-hard-she-might-actually-come-immediately lot -- but kissing Diego was helping.
It did not stop her from making some pathetic whimpering noises into the kiss, but hey. Couldn't win them all.
no subject
If anything, he was doing what he could to encourage those noises. He slid his free hand up to her chest, circling his thumb around her nipple before tugging lightly.
no subject
No, actually, she hiked one leg a little higher up around Diego's waist, trying to take him a little deeper if she could as she gave his hair a sharp, quick pull.

"You're so good," she mumbled, nipping lightly at his lower lip and giving his hair a tug at the same time.
no subject
He broke off with a loud groan as he felt himself get closer to the edge. He slid his hand down from Annie's breast to between her legs so he could circle his thumb around her clit. This was definitely one of those times he wanted to do this together.
no subject
"Diego," she murmured again, kissing him just this side of completely desperately and . "Diego, I'm --"
She was so close already, and she knew he knew it -- she knew he was deliberately getting her there, even -- but she still felt like she needed to warn him to make sure he came with her. It also felt like she might need to warn him just in case she broke something. It was like that today.
Warnings didn't matter, anyway, considering Annie's eyes lit up gold before she could even finish whatever she was trying to say. But she kept them focused on Diego, resisting the urge to arch away or shut her eyes or disconnect from him in any possible way.
