Vought Tower | Wednesday Afternoon

Annie's enormous gold-and-white apartment was almost quiet for the first time in over two hours, now that she was gently all but pushing Ashley, Seth and Evan out the door. Her face hurt from smiling, her brain was tired from answering questions and leaping swiftly though conversational hoops before someone said something that could bite either of them in the ass later, and she wanted to get the fuck out of this uniform and take stock of how her fiancé was feeling, please.

But Vought was Vought, so. "I think this is going to turn out, like, so fucking great, Starlight," Ashley was saying, consulting the VoughtPad she was carrying with the rough coverage of the interview on it. "Spread looks great, you both look hot as hell, interview was perf -- this is going to be so good with, like, women between 15 and 45."

"Romance of the century," Evan added, glancing over Annie's shoulder at Diego with an assuring wave of his hand.

"So down-to-Earth," Seth added, looking from Annie to Diego and back again. "The girl next door with superpowers bringing her man home to meet her fans." He actually clasped a hand to his heart.

That was Annie's cue to actually give these people a physical push now, one hand on Seth's back as she steered them out the door and thanked them for coming before Ashley could say something racist to Diego again. (Annie was trying to nip that in the bud, but there had been a few times where all she'd been able to do was direct the interviewer not to use that comment and shoot Diego an apologetic look.)

And as soon as the door was shut and it was silent again, Annie leaned back against the door and closed her eyes for a moment before looking over towards Diego. "That...went okay?"

It had gone shockingly okay, by her standards, but if he disagreed then she'd make sure it went different next time.

"Like this?" he murmured, repeating the movement. It was a little harder this time, probably harder than he would do to any non-powered woman he'd ever been in bed with.

"Mm-hmm." Annie arched her back in response, her breath catching slightly at how good-painful that was. It had taken her a little while, but Annie could absolutely appreciate the contrast of a tiny bit of pain with her pleasure, now. And it helped that Diego was literally incapable of actually harming her, for the most part.

She, on the other hand, was well aware she could do some damage if she didn't watch it -- though at a year and a half into this she was pretty aware of where those limits were, and demonstrated as much by giving Diego's hair a sharp, controlled little pull to show how much she liked that scratching.

"That feels so good," he mumbled, tilting his head a little so he could feel the pull a little more. "How did I go so long without that?"

He should have been forced into getting long hair ages ago.

"You didn't know what you were missing," Annie pointed out, leaning up to (carefully) bite at his neck as she wound her fingers more tightly in his hair and pulled again. "Who knows what else we're missing out on 'cause we just haven't tried it?"

Not that Annie was bold enough to suggest a whole lot of things they could try. Getting a little rough with him and occasionally incorporating handcuffs was about as kinky as Annie knew how to be without doing some blush-inducing research, but still. She'd never been so comfortable experimenting with someone, before.

Well, experimentation would get a little easier once her work just started making products encouraging that.

"I'm sure we'll find new things along the way," he said, smiling at the bite. "We've got, like, another fifty years or so."

Annie did really kind of love sticking with her own brand when it came to personal things, it was true.

"Conservatively," Annie replied, flicking her tongue out against the skin she'd just bitten. "Lots of time for you to grow your hair out again if you make the mistake of cutting it too short for me to play with. As an example."

Somehow Annie suspected that this would actually be a factor when he did eventually cut it down a bit.

"Oh, I'm never cutting it that short again," Diego said, shifting slightly to work one of his legs in between hers. "I mean, unless I end up in another asylum and they cut my hair. That's not my fault."

"I like to think I'll be a little quicker on the rescue if that happened a second time," Annie assured him, shifting against his leg and already clearly a little impatient about it. "But your hair also grows amazingly fast, so that wouldn't even be that big a deal."

Hair-wise. The prospect of further institutionalization was nothing to blow off, though.

"It's a gift I didn't even realize I had," he said, leaning in for another kiss. "Maybe it's another superpower coming to light."

"That'd be a fun secondary power," Annie murmured, not really dwelling on it much in favor of kissing.

But like, that also sounded like a power someone in her universe would have, easily.

She untangled her hand from his hair (and one of these days, if she didn't watch it, she was going to get her engagement ring or a watch tangled in her enthusiasm), smoothing both hands along Diego's shoulders with a pleased hum before lightly digging her fingernails in to pull him tighter against her.

Yeah, he liked his hair being tugged on, but caught in a ring...ow.

"You feel so good," he murmured, following her cue and pressing himself closer to her. "You always do."

"So do you," Annie replied in turn, shifting to nuzzle along his neck gently in direct contrast to how the nails of one hand tightened a little against his shoulder. "I love how you feel."

Under her hands, against her body, inside her body. Super into the whole deal, really.

And speaking of feeling him -- that other hand of hers drifted forward to skim down along Diego's chest, seeking out a nipple to roll it between thumb and forefinger.

Diego moaned softly, arching his back to get more of that touch. They were already pretty tangled up together but he was going to try his best to get them even closer. Namely by ducking his head down to place a bite at Annie's jaw.

See, that was just asking for Annie to wind a leg around his and curve her foot along the back of Diego's leg, her toes curling a bit at the bite. There could never be enough tangling, honestly. (At least they'd taken off their clothes before the tangling, a feat that was too practical to likely to ever be repeated.) She pinched his nipple, figuring a little roughness here would not go amiss either.

"Fuck," he murmured, grinding his hips up against her. Diego wrapped an arm around her back, shifting to try to encourage a change in position so she was on top. "I want to see you."

Annie was more than willing to go along with a position change, especially given how much she adored being on top. "And I get to see you," she offered, a little throaty given that, like, the view being offered to her was pretty great and something she thought about often.

She shifted along with him easily, straddling his hips pretty quickly and immediately sliding an appreciative hand down his chest once she was settled.

"I think I have the better view," he said, placing his hands on her hips. "By far."

"Matter of opinion," Annie countered, shifting her hips a little to tease herself against him.

Which, you know, was teasing her, too, so that would be Annie biting her lower lip against a soft whimper.

"God," he mumbled, digging his fingers into hips. "More. Please."

[defenderofdesmoines]

"But this is the view I like," Annie replied softly, sliding her hand down Diego's chest to take him in hand. She kept her grip fairly light, her strokes just to the side of teasing, too. (Though she was getting too impatient to tease all that much longer, anyway.) "You're so hot right now."

He'd still be hot in a second, too, but she really liked when he said please like that.

Diego broke out into a grin, even as he had to take in a shaky breath when she wrapped his hand around him. "I mean, I know how it could be better."

"You're always full of good ideas," Annie contributed helpfully, still not quite moving that little bit of distance that everyone clearly, clearly wanted, and instead just slowly working her hand over him. "I'm not sure how things could be better for me than getting to watch you right now."

She knew perfectly well how -- she actually ached right now, she did not need telling -- but maybe she wanted to see how far she could push him.

"I mean, I could offer a suggestion," Diego said lightly, arching his hips up into her hand.

The way Annie flushed preemptively probably spoke to how much she already liked the suggestion of a suggestion.

"I'd love to hear it," Annie replied softly, having to clear her throat a little in spite of herself and keeping her hand's rhythm easy, light.

This time Diego flushed a little, since he hadn't actually expected a 'put up or shut up' moment. Still, if he was going to say dirty things there wasn't anyone else he'd rather say them to.

"Well generally things get even better when I'm inside you," he said, giving her a wry smile even with the blushing. "I mean, I could be wrong, but..."
