The Vought American Hero Mansion | Tuesday Evening
So, that hadn't gone half-bad at all, if you asked Annie. The very first episode of American Hero had just wrapped. She had spent roughly an hour watching contestants try to curry favor and demonstrate their value to a bunch of people who probably didn't really care, she'd sincerely wished them all luck -- they all actually seemed pretty decent, to her? -- and then at the end, she had told one hopeful fellow superhero to hang up her cape and go.
Still such a dumb line. But it could have gone worse.
She'd gotten out from under the lights as soon as they'd called cut, resisting the urge to pull off her cape just yet and instead taking the bottle of water a PA immediately thrust into her hand. She needed to find Diego, who she knew was around here backstage somewhere, and hopefully they could just scurry off to her trailer sooner than later. For all that it had only been an hour of standing around and smiling, mostly, Annie was pretty ready to be out of the spotlight -- literally and figuratively.
"You did great," she told Moonshadow and Supersonic as they wandered by, smiling as the latter stopped to take another proffered water bottle from that PA and waving at the former as she kept going to her own room. "I mean, I'm not supposed to show favoritism or whatever, but just to say."
"So we're just objectively great," Supersonic contributed, grinning at her. "Good to know. You also did great, just to say."
"It's such a cheesy line," Annie offered, checking that her mic was turned off before dropping her voice to an undertone and rolling her eyes. "Like, what a way to tell someone they've lost out on a life-changing opportunity. Ugh."
"And it's discriminatory," Supersonic pointed out. "Some of us don't even have capes."
"That," Annie decided, "is a good point." Maybe enough to get a rewrite? (No.)

Even if they had no patience, and couldn't keep their hands off each other, and generally couldn't be trusted to be left alone in a private enclosed space together and not have sex in it -- all of those factors added up to them being pretty damn good at this, regardless of the circumstances.
And those whispers were already kind of pushing it for how cautious Annie felt like she needed to be, but you know. Luck was meant to be pressed. "Pull my hair a little."
Look, he liked it so much, and here Annie was with even more hair to play with. Of course she was curious.
no subject
He did do as he was asked, twirling some of her hair around his fingers and tugging lightly.

Annie gave a sharp little gasp of pleasure -- it wasn't like she wasn't familiar with how it felt to get her hair stuck somewhere or something -- she'd had long hair for, like, twenty-odd years -- but having Diego's hand in her hair and layering that on top of slowly-building pressure and all this intimacy and sensation was...hot.
It had her upping her efforts slightly, trying to fill her movements with deliberate intent if she couldn't have speed or aggression on her side right now. It also had her trying to muffle some pathetic whimpering with kissing, because who could have predicted that being quiet would be more difficult as time went on, here? (Not Annie, certainly. There wasn't that much foresight to go around.)

It seemed like 'being quiet' plans always fell apart around this time. Oh well.

And while Annie was far from expending any energy on worrying about that right now, she still had her priorities in order enough to bury her face against his shoulder before she called further verbal attention to the situation.
But you know what she could do without making any noise at all? Knot her fingers in his hair and give an answering tug as the rhythm of her hips lost some of its steadiness. It was for everyone's benefit, okay?

Quiet didn't mean silent.

"I love you," Annie panted in reply. She could tell he was close, and it had her moving just a little harder in his lap, trying to balance force and speed and not actually overdoing either to the degree she wanted.
She shifted a little to press a kiss against his ear, sliding one hand low between them to brush against her clit as she did so. She needed to hang on for a little bit longer, -- just long enough to make sure Diego went first. "Come for me."
On impulse, her other hand slid around to gently cover his mouth. Call it a hunch -- both that it might be necessary, and that he might kinda be into that.
no subject
It was probably a good idea she covered his mouth.

She was right behind him, though without the benefit of someone's hand over her mouth Annie was left burying her face against Diego's neck again and shaking violently with the effort of not making any noise as she came -- though, quiet as she managed to be, the lights and her eyes themselves still both gave an answering, distinct buzz.
As soon as she was both able, her hand moved from Diego's mouth to cup his cheek, her thumb lightly brushing along his jaw. Not something she was particularly inclined to do every time, but what an elegant (half) solution to their loudness problem!

"We're the best." That was quiet mostly just because Annie was feeling too lazy and content to not just mumble the words into the kiss.
no subject
"That was really hot," he said eventually, still sounding a little out of breath.
no subject
And he hadn't had to distract himself too much with trying to be quiet! She'd just taken care of it! It was hot all the way around.

Like, do not get her wrong -- she loved being loud and uninhibited all over their apartment (something their neighbors surely appreciated, too.) But this had been hot for a bunch of reasons, for Annie.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

"Also some good incentive for me to visit you at work more often." There was absolutely no way they'd be able to keep quiet twice.

Also, clothes, but the mirror thing was much more likely to be forgotten if she didn't say something.

And having visible markings of Starlit affection on him would not really be conducive to that end.

Even with the interview out Diego had managed to avoid most of it. Also helped Ashley was anxious enough that he could see her coming from a mile away and hide when needed.
no subject
At least, not more than could be helped.
(And maybe Annie could help that by...not having sex with him in her trailer on set, like, at all, but clearly that was too much to ask.)
no subject
"Just the idea of that grosses me out," he admitted, bending down to pick up Annie's bra and hand it over. "Like, I know Vought enough to know they would but the whole concept of marketing our relationship...I can't get used to it."
no subject
And she'd be pretty willing to die on that hill, honestly.
