Annie had chosen a few dresses for herself to try on -- some were a little too full of skirt, some were a little too cleavagey, but the whole set had had one unifying motif: sparkles.
And then Annie tried on one that she kind of couldn't stop looking at, even behind the dressing room curtain, already. She poked her head out, worrying her lower lip before hesitantly requesting, "Can we cut for a second?"
If this was it -- and it kind of felt like it might be -- this was too personal for TV, suddenly. She could lie and say she bought the one Ashley had chosen.
A moment later, she stepped out in a fairly simple white dress, her hair pulled over one shoulder to show off the detailed back.
"What do you guys think?" Annie, transparently, was kind of in love. It needed to be tailored, and there were big dress clips sticking out at her sides to approximate the fit, but...it felt the rightest of anything, so far.
