MHA #2 | Late Tuesday Evening
Given that it had been relatively clear out tonight, with no rain or wind in the forecast, Annie and Diego had finally made good on this idea of going back over to Baltimore for a little crimefighting date. And Annie, in turn, had made good on her long-told promise of getting leather pants -- they were tight, but she couldn't deny she looked really good. And like a total badass. Maeve would be proud. (And they were warm, which wasn't especially badass, but you spend most of your adult life fighting in a tulle skirt -- warmth becomes important.)
"I need to figure out how to fly without taking out an entire breaker panel," Annie was saying as she let herself back into the apartment and flipped on the lights. She wasn't still out of breath, exactly, but she was very pink-cheeked still from how fast they'd had to run away from their last set of criminals of the night -- she and Diego had spotted a couple of guys sort of...playing with a window, and while the fight hadn't taken especially long, they still hadn't wanted to be waiting there when the cops came. But this was one of those reasons why it was good to be in shape in their line of work! "How are your knuckles?"
Annie's kind of hurt -- lots of punching, since she hadn't wanted to attract a lot of attention with blasts -- but Annie also had super-skin. (And Annie was also clearly flying on a high of remembering she could do all of that. Even without the cape.)
[for that man she married!]

"Well I'm gonna debrief you too." Just...slower, and not as coordinated. Her hand was very distracting.

Kisses helped both of them focus, as had been extensively documented in the past.

There may have been a bit of a stumble as he tried to kick his pants aside. Not graceful at all.

"I love you," Annie laughed into the kiss, removing her distracting hand in favor of sliding a stabilizing arm around him. "Maybe one thing at a time?"
Okay, two things, because not kissing right now wasn't an option, but the narrative was right -- they could totally make out in their sleep. Probably had, honestly.

Leather pants: Sexy to look at, maybe not as sexy to put on or take off.

"Maybe they'll be easier once I've broken them in a little more," Annie suggested, glancing down at herself. (Toplessness only seemed to improve how good the leather pants looked; who'd have seen that one coming?) "We need practice."
But also she wasn't super worried about her pants at the moment, considering she had her naked husband here at hand to distract herself with, and her hands were busy skimming over his skin again. (Though she was kindly not being too distracting, considering she had been the one to propose focusing on one thing at a time.)

He leaned down to get his arms under her thighs so he could pick her up. Which also had the added benefit of bringing her chest close to his mouth which he would never complain about.

With the tiniest little pleased yelp, Annie reached an arm out to loop it lightly around his shoulders, just for a little added stability. "I love your ideas."

She would praise him as she pleased, so there.

"I promise not to be mad if you pull me off the bed." But she would laugh.

Though definitely more potentially hilarious. The worst thing that could happen with her zipper was she could get her hair caught in it or something.

He tugged down her pants as best he could without pulling her off the bed. "I lied about it being sexy, this is hilarious."
no subject
But yeah, she couldn't actually keep a lid on it for that long, and burst out laughing even as she tried to shimmy her pants off a bit more and clung to the bed. "Should I have sized up?" she wondered, giggling. "Or is this normal for leather pants?"
Someone had never seen an iconic episode of a nineties sitcom involving leather pants, and it showed.

At least the pants removal was easier after he got them past her knees, but the whole process still made him out of breath. Mostly from the laughing.

"I don't know about that," she countered when she had her breath back, pushing herself up on her elbows and stretching her freed legs appreciatively. "There's something to be said for how much easier it is to get your pants off."
And his ass still looked great, if you asked her, even if his pants weren't usually peel-off tight.

As much as sex was a huge part of their relationship and always had been -- Annie really appreciated the fact that they could also have a mutual laughter fit in the middle of things and not really lose steam.

Diego moved to settle himself between Annie's legs, settling most of his weight on her as he leaned in for another kiss.
no subject
Annie sighed into the kiss, wrapping her arms up around him to try to encourage him to settle as comfortably on her as he wanted. She could handle it, and it was really hot to just be kind of covered by Diego.
But, as sweet as that was -- she was also not shy about using her nails on his back a little. Just a little extra encouragement.
