Hotel Obsidian | Afternoon
You know, Annie led a life of pretty unique experiences. But watching her husband's alternate-universe son try to dislodge the spear that had recently killed her apparently (and thankfully) immortal brother-in-law from the wall of a pretty ugly hotel suite, while the world was ending, was...definitely a new one.
"So, I think we all learned something about gun safety, and how you should never point any kind of gun at a person, right?" she offered, glancing from Stanley's efforts up to Diego. She didn't really want to cross the line into lecturing the kid herself -- it did not feel like her place, but this seemed appropriately...responsible-nearby-adultish to say. "We were really lucky this time."
Like, Stanley could have been hanging out with one of his other, much-more-killable uncles when the harpoon went off, to start.
[for the husband and the AU stepkid, and NFB for distance, obviously! ETA - also going NWS omg]

Annie wanted to draw this out, tease him a little more, see if she could get him all needy and grabby under her even more -- but Annie also needed this pretty badly, and also had no patience. So she braced one hand against Diego's shoulder, less holding him down than just using him for a little stability as she started to rock against him with a soft, drawn-out moan.

"Fuck," he murmured, one of his hands moving from her hip to slide up to cup her jaw. "You feel so good."

"You too," Annie mumbled, leaning into that touch so she could press a kiss to his palm. She maintained a steady rhythm with her hips, her breath catching a little as she slid that hand on Diego's shoulder around his back a bit. "Sit up for me."
She needed faster and closer, and she saw a solution here.

Her free arm slid around Diego's shoulders, mirroring him as she groaned into the kiss and her nails dug in against his skin. They were definitely going to need to do this a few more times, because as per usual in times like these, Annie was not really striving for longevity.

That murmured word could have been in reference to the nails, to the riding or both. Most likely both.

She managed to keep it together, however, with her nails digging in harder against Diego's shoulder and leg as she moved harder against him and leaned her forehead against his. "You're so good," she panted, already kind of starting to feel a little overwhelmed in all the best ways.

Guess they were going to test how good the electrical was in here.

Her gasped, 'Me too,' was kind of lost in a kiss, but it didn't really matter anyway considering it only took another couple of thrusts against him before Annie was coming with a soft cry and a powerful answering electrical surge that matched the glow of her eyes.
Thankfully, everything in the room seemed like it probably still worked. Aside from, like, Annie's legs and lungs, anyway, but she didn't need those right now.

It would be no surprise that Diego was following shortly after, ducking his head down to place a bite against her shoulder when he came to keep from outright shouting.
It would be a minute before he could move again but even if he could he had no desire to. This was perfect, if you asked him.

But even that was still a minute out. She was trembling slightly and breathing hard as she nuzzled lightly along Diego's temple, her arm staying tight around him. "Don't go anywhere."
Like he was going to, but still. She was maybe a little more clingy than usual at the moment. Perhaps understandably, even if you didn't know certain emotionally-heightening pieces of information.

"I love you." There. That much she could say without thinking herself into dizzy, half-woozy circles about it, at least.

This was the most content she'd been since they'd arrived back in 2019.
