Kleinfeld, Annie's Manhattan | Thursday Afternoon

Annie was trying to be more excited than nervous today, but no matter what, the two were kind of co-mingling anyway. She might -- hopefully? -- get her wedding dress today! And she'd be filming an episode of television in the process, but whatever, that was just work, right?

And she was bringing Diego's sister. And her Fandom friends. And Maeve.

It would be fine.

And if she kept saying it would be fine, then it would be!

In any case, they were here -- along with a film crew, a gal who was not being shy at all about touching up makeup, Annie's boss Ashley (and her ubiquitous clipboard), and a bridal consultant who seemed torn between being thrilled at her big break and also like she might throw up.

[for a few. naturally this is NFB for distance!]

"And to think," Summer scoffed a little bit a laugh, "my therapist said my constant need for attention and validation from complete and total strangers would never amount to anything!"

Dr. Wong actually never said such a thing; Dr. Wong was actually very supportive in Summer finding creative outlets for those crippling desires, but it sounded good at the time, and she gave Maeve a faint grin.

"I'm just glad I can be a part of it all, really," she said. "She so doesn't even need me, but I know it helps that I can be there for her."

"It does help," Maeve told her. "More than she probably knows to tell you, honestly. Take it from someone who's ten years further down the Starlight track."

Though Annie would take a few different turns than she had, if Maeve had anything to say about it.
