MCA #1 | Saturday Morning into Afternoon

On Saturday morning, bright and early - like, so, so hatefully early - Annie ventured out to make good on a stupid promise she’d made. All right, it wasn’t a stupid promise, but it was one Annie was really regretting now, because she knew how bad it had looked when she’d left. So much glitter. So many spilled shots. She herself had straight-up poured beer on the floor at least once and had to actually replace a lightbulb. Who knew what had become of the various reindeer?

Plus, she knew there were almost certainly people in there who would need carbohydrates and coffee to get through this day, just like she would. So, Annie made her way into Rey’s apartment, laid out the assortment of bagels and donuts she’d picked up and set a pot of coffee on (caf was a mystery she would ask Rey about later, but she’d noticed the coffee in the pantry before she’d broken it.) Then, she made a few trips back up to her own apartment to grab her vacuum, that glitter thing Barry had made her (bless you, Barry), a case of water bottles, and a bunch of cleaning supplies.

By the time she was done, the coffee was too, and Annie still kind of wanted to die, but at least the people waking up here would have caffeine and water and carbs at their disposal.

[for those waking up here or kindly helping to clean! please hold for just a touch of OCD and we are good, ping at will!]

Jaye did in fact wake up in a racecar bed in last night's clothes with a Santa hat on the pillow.

When she finally trudged out she asked, "Whose apartment is this?"

"...Which one is Rey?" She'd probably said the name on radio? Oh god she had to radio tomorrow, would she still be hungover. "Is there more coffee?"

If not she tip herself off the balcony instead of attempting stairs today.

By this time the cheap Santa suit was pretty much done. And somehow the Santa beard was more of a white sweatband around Barry’s head.

On the plus side, he was the little spoon with Summer.

The major downside was the hangover he had because he was a lightweight and never had ever had that much to drink in his life.

His eyes weren’t even open when the memories of last night started flooding into Barry’s brain.

“Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck,” he groaned. But very quietly.

But yes, that was his good morning to the world.

"Shhhhhhh," Summer whispered, ironically probably louder than he had been, though not by much, into the sticky-damp spot where she had most definitely drooled on his neck at some point. "If she knows we're awake, she'll hear us."

She'd been sort-of awake for a while at this point, actually, and had spent the whole time very much pretending she wasn't.

“Who will hear us?” Barry whispered back. “And why are you yelling at me?”

Oh. It hurt just to say that.

“Fuck.”

"Annie," Summer whispered back. "She'll make us clean.

"Also, I'm not yelling, I'm being, like, totally super quiet right now."

She was trying to be, anyway! But it was all kind of relative, wasn't it? Especially since it was not a particular large couch, so the distance between them was not very far anywhere, much less her mouth to his ear.

Cade had literally no other place to crash, so here he was, on the floor of the lanai, shirtless, drenched in glitter and cuddling a light-up snowman.

"Where am I?"

Sadly, this was normally the first question Cade asked upon waking. Cade made poor choices.

Steve'd had a designated walker, God, Danno, but he had been promised a chance to use the glitter cannon, so here he was looking a little worn around the eyes but otherwise surprisingly okay as he let himself back into the apartment at too-damn-early o'clock.

(He was hiding the hangover so hard. SO HARD.)

"Coffee! Non-eggnogged coffee!" he said as a small herd of clopping (so much clopping. Whhhhhhy the clopping) mini-horses cantered into the apartment with him, dropping marzipan.

Did Jaye know anyone here?

Barry let a small groan of pain and annoyance. “I fucking hate gremlins,” he whispered. “My plan was to make fun of the drunk people. Not be a fucking idiot and then join a drinking game.”

So. Much. Punch.

Barry groaned and reluctantly sat up. “What I need is IV. And fluids,” he complained. “Though aspirin is a start.”

Eventually, Summer would make it to where the coffee was and she was going to cling to that coffee, and try desperately to keep from looking around as clarity descended with shocking revelation as to exactly what sort of insurmountable task they had ahead of them.

It was not working.

But at least they didn't, like, have to freeze time for, like, a whole month or something just to get it done before someone's parents came home!

"Magic space coffee?" Steve echoed hopefully.
