The Vought American Hero Mansion | Tuesday Evening

So, that hadn't gone half-bad at all, if you asked Annie. The very first episode of American Hero had just wrapped. She had spent roughly an hour watching contestants try to curry favor and demonstrate their value to a bunch of people who probably didn't really care, she'd sincerely wished them all luck -- they all actually seemed pretty decent, to her? -- and then at the end, she had told one hopeful fellow superhero to hang up her cape and go.

Still such a dumb line. But it could have gone worse.

She'd gotten out from under the lights as soon as they'd called cut, resisting the urge to pull off her cape just yet and instead taking the bottle of water a PA immediately thrust into her hand. She needed to find Diego, who she knew was around here backstage somewhere, and hopefully they could just scurry off to her trailer sooner than later. For all that it had only been an hour of standing around and smiling, mostly, Annie was pretty ready to be out of the spotlight -- literally and figuratively.

"You did great," she told Moonshadow and Supersonic as they wandered by, smiling as the latter stopped to take another proffered water bottle from that PA and waving at the former as she kept going to her own room. "I mean, I'm not supposed to show favoritism or whatever, but just to say."

"So we're just objectively great," Supersonic contributed, grinning at her. "Good to know. You also did great, just to say."

"It's such a cheesy line," Annie offered, checking that her mic was turned off before dropping her voice to an undertone and rolling her eyes. "Like, what a way to tell someone they've lost out on a life-changing opportunity. Ugh."

"And it's discriminatory," Supersonic pointed out. "Some of us don't even have capes."

"That," Annie decided, "is a good point." Maybe enough to get a rewrite? (No.)

"Just a little irresponsibility," Annie murmured, not doing a damn thing to stop all that touching. One might say she was encouraging it, even, especially since he'd already done the hard work of getting the zipper down. And once her top was bunched around her waist and her hands were free, Annie was sliding them along Diego's arms and chest with a soft, happy hum. "I think we can be quiet enough. I believe in us."

It was pretty much pure faith, based on nothing. They were fucking terrible at being quiet.

"Only one way to find out." Diego tilted his head to press kisses along Annie's jaw and down her neck, enjoying how close they were right now. Close quarters was a benefit to the trailer that he had not seen coming, but now he was a big fan.

Annie was also a big fan of the closeness -- it wasn't like they didn't usually get all tangled up in each other even when they had a whole apartment to spread out in, but something about having to stay pressed up together thanks to close quarters kinda did it for her.

She slid her hand up into Diego's hair, shifting her knees a bit to bring them even more flush together. "You're so good," she whispered, her breath catching a little.

Diego made a soft noise when she pressed them closer together, hips lifting up involuntarily to get more. It was going to take some maneuvering to get their pants/tights off, and Diego wasn't quite willing to move just yet, so instead he reached up to unhook her bra.

More skin without moving.

Look how smart that was! Much easier than pants or tights to get out of, and resulting in immediate gratification. She removed her arms from around his neck long enough to slip the bra off her shoulders (and, again, kept very good track of where that ended up) before she was pressing in close to bring her chest against his and kiss him again.

Kissing, she figured, was probably their best ally in being quiet.

Kissing was definitely the best defense when it came to keeping quiet. Of course that was easy to say it was working now, when they were both still half-dressed.

Diego wrapped his arms around Annie, lightly dragging his nails down her back. "You feel so good."

"Even though I'm still half-tulle?" Annie murmured, keeping her voice low -- again, easy to do while everyone still could kinda focus -- as she arched her back under his touch.

Diego also, unsurprisingly, felt really good, and Annie felt like he deserved some kisses to his shoulder to prove it.

"The part of you that isn't tulle feels good," he amended with a smile. "We should fix the tulle problem."

"Probably not the best day to just rip my tights," Annie agreed, pressing a soft kiss against his ear before very reluctantly pulling away. "You deserve some kind of patience award for putting up with tulle and tights on the regular, honestly."

Maybe the reward could just be a lot of incredibly easy-to-shed sundresses when she was home this summer.

"I mean, you have to deal with the harness most days," Diego said. "That's almost as bad--and not as rippable as the tights and tulle."

"Yes," Annie agreed, wriggling her tights off and sending the tulle down after them. "But your harness is sexy."

She did not think the Starlight uniform was especially sexy. (She did however accept that Diego found her sexy in it.)

Meanwhile, Diego was working on shoving his own pants down, followed by his shorts. He wasn't as careful as Annie keeping track of where they went, but it was a small trailer. He'd find them eventually.

"Sexy, but impractical," he said. "Which goes for your uniform as well."

"Well, impractical for this," Annie teased, shoving off her dress and underwear in one motion and leaving the whole pile in one spot. Organized! "Your harness is practical for lots of other reasons."

Her uniform was practical for almost no reasons. Even her cape was kind of a bad idea, crimefighting-wise.

"Well I'm doing a lot more of this than crimefighting these days," he said, reaching for her now that clothes were out of the way. "I much prefer this."

"Always hot when the two intersect, though," Annie noted quietly, moving to settle a knee at either side of Diego's hips now that she was no longer inhibited by multiple layers of tulle and giving a soft, needy sigh when her breasts brushed against his chest again.

Diego could agree with that. Or would have, however, if he wasn't so busy ducking his head down to kiss her chest.

If anyone knocked on the door now he was gonna be pretty annoyed.

If anyone knocked on the door, it was probably going to be immediately apparent what was going on here just thanks to how long it would take Annie to get dressed again. A downside to being careful not to rip anything.

Annie hooked an arm across Diego's shoulders to bring herself just that little bit closer she could manage -- closeness and teamwork were totally both going to be factors with the cramped space and the need for quiet, but that was all very okay by Annie since she loved closeness and teamwork -- and wound her opposite hand up into his hair.

The other thing about being quiet was that she had to find other ways to communicate. Such as using that hand in his hair to bossily encourage more attention to her chest, thank you.

He understood those orders loud and clear. Diego let out another little noise at his hair being pulled, but moved down even further to get his mouth on one of her nipples. He was good at following certain direction.

He was so good at following directions sometimes! Nudity and imminent sex seemed to be helpful factors to that end, as well as who was doing the directing.

"Shhh." If a shhh could somehow be encouraging, that one was. Annie at least was clearly pretty pleased about shushing him, anyway, until she had to bite down on her lower lip to muffle a happy little moan of her own. (And, subsequently, a tightening of her hand in his hair.)

Diego looked up at Annie, because he wasn't the one making noise here. Well, he was. But he didn't think it was loud!

However he did find that shh encouraging, as it was intended. He ran his teeth over her nipple for a second before wrapping his lips around it entirely and providing some gentle suction.

This was doing wonders for keeping him quiet, by the way.

"Fuck, yes," she hissed softly, arching her back and sliding her hand out of his hair to scratch lightly along his back, just as more encouragement. "That's so nice."

She was doing her best to keep to a whisper, but shushing glass houses shouldn't throw shushing stones, and other strained metaphors.

The feeling of nails against his back had Diego arching his hips against hers, a soft moan escaping that was thankfully muffled by his mouth on her chest. He moved his mouth to her other breast, doing the same thing to her other nipple.

Annie gave a pleased hum -- downright restrained for her, noise-wise -- and shifted her hips against Diego's in counter before sliding a hand between them and down his chest to tease a little. She curled her fingers, scratching her nails against his abdomen as she dipped her head to press a kiss into his hair.

"More of that," he murmured, giving Annie's nipple another lick before tilting his head up to mouth at her neck. "Please."

Annie's breath caught on a little gasp, both at feeling his mouth on her neck and the, 'Please,' as always. She obediently scratched him again, a little harder now as she found a path downwards, and ran her nails across a hip and down the inside of one of Diego's thighs.
